The Basics

I live in Minnetonka, Minnesota with my wonderful wife Stephanie and son Troy.

Michigan State University. I love MSU. I spent most of my undergraduate education there and began implementing a lifelong dream of entrepreneurship. During that time I also met the love of my life; Stephanie. We married in August 2000 and have never looked back.

Syracuse University. In August 2006, I began studying in the Executive MBA program. SU is great and has a much different feel from MSU. My MBA experience has been great thus far. I plan to take full advantage of all the perks of learning and networking while studying. That includes the international residencies to South Africa and France.

Detroit. I hail from the city of Detroit, MI. Not the suburbs; the Motorcity itself. I love Detroit although my city needs some major work to become world-class. The hard knocks from the city has taught me valuable lessons that have shaped my life and forced me to yearn for much more out of life.

Wall Street Journal. I enjoy reading the journal and many other business publications such as Economist, Fortune, Money, Inc., Business 2.0, CIO Insight, and Business Week.

Gmail. Well I love Google. Gmail is thee best web-based email tool in the world. I’ve tried just about all of them as well. I have a million email accounts now consolidated neatly in my Gmail account. Watch out Microsoft.

Go Diego. Go! My son is two years old and he loves Diego. So my wife and I spend a tremendous amount of time watching Diego, Dora, Elmo, Sesame Street, etc. Reading, drawing and other educational activities now fill my evenings. The life of a parent.

Art. What is relative, real, abstract, fun, dark, bright, sad, harmonious, full, exciting? ART! I am a buff. Whether painting, sketching, pottery, admiring, or designing I enjoy the arts. From theatre to web design.

Photography. I love taking pictures and capturing a moment. See my photos.

Information Technology. If you know me. You know. If you don’t. I’m not a computer geek; but I enjoy the what technology has done for our society. Technology has become a passion; but helping people with technology is at the heart of why I love the industry. I’ve grown to enjoy the leadership, innovation, sales management, marketing strategy, negotiation, competitive strategy, and human capital management that comes from managing a company most. Technology has been my vehicle for growth.

Sports. Love it. Just about any sport, but I’ve developed a passion for golf.

Fitness. Working to get my Bruce Lee look back.

Games. I’m competitive and I love the thrill of the game. Spades, Backgammon, Dominoes, Chess, Checkers, Uno, Monopoly, Tic-Tac-Toe; the thrill!
