Value of the Whitman MBA

As a candidate of the Whitman MBA from Syracuse University, I’ve recently pondered the notion of the true value of attaining the degree.  Now in my second semester as an executive candidate in the MBA program, I’m experiencing the value through my interaction with my peers as we build a network through our residencies in Syracuse, NY. 

Obtaining a MBA from any university with name recognition and a track record of producing sound graduates should be a priority for any student who would like to do business outside of their local demographic region.  National accredidation and rankings are important, but the true value lies in the classroom experience.  The Whitman MBA has already proven to be valuable because it has delivered on a few points like many world-class MBA programs:

• Intense and quality classroom discussions
• Entrepreneurial mindset; not just training
• Excellent alumni networking
• Experienced professors whom desire to connect with students
• International residencies
• State of the art teaching facilities
• Flexibility for experienced executives

I’ve implemented new strategies in my company that are paying dividends already after only completing one semester of classes.  The Whitman MBA program is overflowing with professors that are engaging and other candidates whom have proven to be valuable resources.
