Director, Actor, Sister - Shaunda M. Stockard

Shaunda StockardOn the evening of January 15, 2007 Shaunda M. Stockard performed a play based on the works of African-American writer Sonia Sanchez at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African-American History in Detroit, Michigan. Shaunda volunteered as part of a regional effort by the State of Michigan in appreciation of the efforts of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.. Shaunda was featured on the front page of the Detroit News in an article that depicts the activities of the celebration.

I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing my sister perform at several stages of her career as a theatrical artist. She shows a great deal of passion as a director and when you see her on stage; you will feel the mode, harmony and essence of the character. Shaunda has worked as an understudy for the late Ron Milner and is bound for more success in her career.

Although I was not able to see Shaunda perform this time I know it was a wonderful performance by all the press surrounding the event. Do ya thang sis…
