The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama

Senator Barack Obama, author of The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream, explored the current political landscape from his perspective. I’ve been facinated with Senator Obama’s transparency in his present role on to through his announcement as a presidential candidate for 2008.  After receiving the book as a gift I wanted drive in to understand what the big uproar is about this charismatic leader.  Reading the book revealed Obama’s views on politics, his life and a glimpse into what he would like to see for the future.  I’ve long agreed with the thought that many American’s are more middle of the road on a number of issues and our political leaders should work together more to unite the parties for the greater good of the United States.

As a citizen of the United States it is our duty to vote and elect candidates to represent us in government.  It is also our duty to educate ourselves about the government and all the candidates (Democratic, Green, Independent, Republican) in an effort to make informed decisions about your personal well-being.  I chose to be open to the ideas of many and come to a conclusion based on my own understanding of the issues.  I also challenge all of my readers to educate yourself, read, understand and vote.
