Weight Loss Simplified...Balance Your Budget
Heart Rate up to 185 today...
I've got to be burning something with all this cardio and eating right. Changes are definitely occurring daily though, I can feel it. Today was pure cardio and I was a bit skeptical as to how I would do. I powered through the warm up today and it actually felt like a warm up, then boom; full steam ahead. I could not completely keep pace with the group, but stayed strong most of the way. I'll be ready next time this workout comes around again.
After taking a very close look at my calorie intake over the past few days I have a better grasp on how simple weight loss and/or gain occurs. I've been using an app on my phone called Tap & Track. It's like budgeting or finance. Let's see how it's similar.
FIRST: CONSUMPTION
Each day we consume food, drinks, medicines, etc. which add up to your total calorie nutritional makeup for the day. Depending on your physical characteristics, medical history, age, height and past exercise routine the body processes this nutritional makeup differently. Your metabolism, for instance, may be faster or slower depending on these factors. In addition, vitamins and other supplements that are used to balance the body with nutrition also are included in this makeup. In essence, it's anything that you consume and your body's characteristics.
SECOND: ACTIVITIES
In tandem, our bodies are burning these calories based on the types of activities that we engage in over the course of the day. Got young kids? We'll picking them up and down burns calories. Does your workday cause for lots of walking, running or lifting? You'll be burning those calories all-day long. Or is your work day full of meetings like mine where you sit down and talk to make a buck? Adding up the number of calories, or at least estimating helps to understand how much your body is going to burn on a daily basis. In addition, your burn rate will naturally increase as you become more consistent in your routine. The opposite will also occur as you slow down your activity level.
The amount of sleep you get each night, your stress level and even which foods you eat along with supplements can all affect the burn rate of your consumption.
Frankly, you can lose a ton of weight and tone up with proper eating alone. No work out needed as long as you balance your budget. But, if you want to accelerate your weight loss, tighten up muscle groups down to the core, build stamina and strength; you'll need a solid workout plan that complements your goals.
Balance your budget. Don't eat more than your body can burn and you'll be well on our way to a slimmer lifestyle. Now let's see if I can keep up with what I've learned through experience.
