Detroit Startup Week

THERE IS SO MUCH POTENTIAL IN THE CITY OF DETROIT.  This potential was on display in my recent visit to the Detroit Startup Week held at the Masonic Temple. I attended the event with my partner John Huffman IV from Creators Capital speaking on how to use Media to Accelerate Your Startup. John spoke about using the power media to accelerate an already amazing idea and how storytelling is key. Storytelling has been a key aspect of marketing since B.C. and it's still relevant to closing the deal today.

What I witnessed during the event was amazing potential by the participants and execution of Startup activity by pioneering local companies and startups putting in work for the rebuild of an amazing city. Whether Detroit likes it or not, it's still extremely connected to the automobile or mobility industry. With autonomous driving, digital transformations and entertainment media on the rise mobility in Detroit is ripe for growth. Startups in Detroit were on display with new offerings to power up innovation to build on the base and also improve health and wealth of Detroiters.

 #StartSomething

There is an entrepreneurial buzz in the Detroit area that's growing. Powered by companies like Quicken Loans, Chase, Invest Detroit Ventures, Google, TechStars, WeWork and tons of supporting companies. It was great to see a diverse group of people all inspired and working to build what's next.
